Barbara Shakespeare LaFrance Scholarship

The Barbara Shakespeare LaFrance Scholarship will be awarded to a music major (preferably a pianist) who is from Massachusetts. The successful applicant will be a junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and will be selected through audition. Should no music major from Massachusetts satisfy the requirements the scholarship will be open to 1) a pianist from any state or country; then 2) any music major, vocal or instrumental, from any state or country. If, there is not a candidate with a major in music, an exceptional student with a minor in music and who meets other criteria, may be considered.
